Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu slams Abki Baar 400 paar slogan

Dharamshala: Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on the statement of BJP candidate from Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat Anurag Thakur that Congress has 40 seats and BJP has 400 seats said that this is just a slogan of BJP whereas the reality is that BJP is not contesting the elections.

He said that Anurag Thakur is the national leader of BJP but can he tell on how many seats BJP has fielded its candidates. This is just a slogan and with the help of this slogan BJP is working to boost the morale of its workers. The Chief Minister said this to the media at Gaggal Airport during his visit to Dharamshala on Sunday.

The Chief Minister said that this country got independence in 1947 and if any party has done the work of strengthening this country, it is the Congress Party. For the unity and integrity of the country, the Congress Party sacrificed its two Prime Ministers for this country. In such a situation, is the Congress Party working to weaken the country?

He said that Anurag Thakur should be asked that he laid the foundation of a strong democracy by changing policies to strengthen democracy in this country, in which he worked to give 33 percent reservation to women in Panchayati Raj institutions. He said that it is because of strong democracy that Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister of the country today.

He said that in democracy there are wins and losses. Before 2014, Congress was also in power at the Center for 10 years. At one time BJP also had two seats, despite this it has become clear today that Congress Party is the main opposition party in the country. He said that if we look at the 10 years of BJP’s tenure today, inflation and unemployment are at their peak.

Congress will win elections not with money power but with manpower.

The Chief Minister said that BJP has gained power in Himachal on the basis of money, but the public is going to answer for it in the elections. He said that we do not have money to win elections through money power. We have the power and we will go among the people and win the elections only through power. He said that the people of the state believe in the Dev culture and will give a befitting reply to those involved in horse-trading.

BJP need not worry about Congress ticket allotment

Regarding the assembly by-elections being held in Himachal Pradesh, the Chief Minister said that BJP need not worry about its ticket allotment. There are still 40 days left for the elections. BJP has given tickets to sellable candidates. Our ticket allotment process is going on and the tickets will be announced soon after brainstorming. Despite this, our party’s election campaign is going on at a fast pace and our MLAs and ministers are going among the public. We have held a conference of officials first in Shimla, then in Mandi and today in Dharamsala also to speed up the elections.
