Special Yoga Practice Session Commences at Raj Bhavan Ahead of 11th International Yoga Day

Lucknow – Under the inspiration of Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel, a special yoga practice session was inaugurated today at Raj Bhavan, Lucknow, as part of the lead-up to the 11th International Yoga Day celebrations scheduled for June 21, 2025.

With the theme for this year being “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” the initiative aims to promote not only physical and mental well-being but also global awareness about environmental harmony and planetary health. The daily yoga sessions will continue every morning at 7:00 AM in the Raj Bhavan lawns till June 20, 2025.

The inaugural session witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 1,000 individuals, including university students, representatives from various organizations, Raj Bhavan officials and staff, and a large number of yoga enthusiasts. All participants practiced yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation under the guidance of trained yoga instructors.

The event has been conceptualized under the visionary leadership of the Governor, with the objective of spreading awareness about yoga and encouraging citizens to adopt a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

The presence of dignitaries including Special Secretary to the Governor, Shri Shriprakash Gupta, Raj Bhavan officials, officers from the AYUSH Department, and numerous yoga practitioners added to the significance of the occasion.

This daily yoga session will culminate in a grand yoga celebration on June 21, 2025, on the occasion of International Yoga Day, within the Raj Bhavan premises. The concluding event aims to amplify the message of “One Earth, One Health” on a global level, highlighting India’s leadership in integrating wellness with environmental consciousness.

This initiative is expected to serve as a motivational milestone, reinforcing the power of yoga as a transformative force for individual well-being and collective planetary harmony.
