R-FRAC will give special exemption in testing of food processing materials from 16 October to 31 December
Lucknow: Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has decided to give special exemption in testing of food processing materials from 16 October to 31 December on the occasion of completion of 20 years of Regional Food Research and Analysis Center (R-FRAC), Lucknow, operated under the Horticulture and Food Processing Department.
A provision has been made to provide various types of related facilities to all the people at special concessional rates/free of cost from 16 October to 31 December 2024. Facilities related to adulteration testing and training will be given especially to the general public.
Food adulteration testing facility
Housewives, women self-help groups, entrepreneurs, FPO, startups, universities will be provided the facility to get food adulteration tested in this special session at a minimum fee of Rs. 50 per sample.
Food quality testing facility
Food manufacturers / entrepreneurs will be provided 50 percent discount on quality testing of food items on the fee fixed by the Regional Food Research and Analysis Center (R-FRAC).
Free training facilities to students / women, youth living below the poverty line
Students, women, etc. living below the poverty line will be given free training by R-FRAC, this discount can be availed by registering online on the Regional Food Research and Analysis Center (R-FRAC), Lucknow website from 16 October to 31 December 2024 till the financial year 2024-25.
Training programs conducted by R-FRAC
In the training program conducted by Regional Food Research and Analysis Center (R-FAC), Lucknow, research students of universities, colleges etc. are being given up to 40 percent discount in training fees, this discount can be availed till the financial year 2024-25 by registering online on the R-FAC website from 16 October to 31 December 2024.
Training programs available for women entrepreneurs
On the occasion of Foundation Day, 60 percent discount will be provided in the training fees of women entrepreneurs from 16 October to 31 December 2024.
Free technical consultation
Free technical consultation will be provided by Regional Food Research and Analysis Center (R-FRAC), Lucknow under the PMFME scheme for setting up a new industry for micro and small entrepreneurs.

Regional Food Research and Analysis Center (R-FRAC), Lucknow, is functioning since 2004 as a registered institution under the Society Act under the Department of Horticulture and Food Processing, and Principal Secretary, Horticulture and Food Processing is its Chairman and Director, Horticulture and Food Processing Department is its Vice-Chairman.
In the past years, Regional Food Research and Analysis Centre (R-FRAC) has been providing training in various fields, mainly (employment oriented, skill development training, mushroom cultivation and value added products, aquatic and aerial, aquaponic rooftop farming, kitchen gardening, food safety and hygiene and adulteration, millet value added products H.A.C.C.P., GMP, GLP, GHP, ISO 17025, ISO 22000, food rules and standards, fortified products, fruit and vegetable processing and preservation, dairy processing) etc.
