Actor Shaheer Sheikh, widely recognized for his role as Arjun in the epic TV series Mahabharat, is receiving immense praise for his portrayal of Dhruv Sood in the film Do Patti which also marks his Bollywood outing, showcasing his ability to take on diverse roles. Known for his intense and menacing performance, Sheikh has captivated audiences with his versatility.
Recently, in an interview, Shaheer was asked about his decision to play a grey character, which is a stark contrast to his usual “chocolate boy” roles. He shared his thoughts on choosing such an intense role without fear of audience perception or image-building and said, “For me, it would have been a problem if throughout the film we would have glorified this character and would not have punished it in the end, but the messaging is right. He is punished in the end, because that is the case.” He continued, “Also, it allows me to show a lot of emotions. I thought it would have been a good, challenging character for me. And I like to challenge myself, I guess.”
Despite concerns about the potential negative impact on his image, Sheikh embraced the role of Dhruv Sood and delivered a brilliant performance.
