Lucknow: A voter awareness program was organized to make voters aware under the able leadership and chairmanship of Principal Prof. Devendra Kumar Singh at National PG College, Lucknow. The chief guest of this program was the city’s District Magistrate Suryapal Gangwar.
District Magistrate of Lucknow city, Suryapal Gangwar, in his address told the students that only an informed voter is the one who determines the destiny of democracy because the future of the nation will be determined by your vote, so you must cast your vote and visit at least 5 nearby houses. Take people to vote. On this occasion, oath of voting was administered to professors, post-teaching staff and students of all the faculties.
Principal of the college, Prof. Devendra Kumar Singh, motivated all the students who were voting for the first time to vote and said that it is our duty to vote ourselves and to encourage our family and neighborhood people to vote compulsory. Along with this, a voter awareness rally was taken out by all the students and professors from the college. Voter awareness rally left the college via Sahara Ganj Chowki and slum Bapu Nagar and returned to the college.
On the occasion of voter awareness program, the college also organized a poster competition, quiz competition and reel making among the students of all the faculties. The winners of the competitions were given mementos and certificates by the chief guest.
The public and students were made aware through a street play by the students. The entire program was conducted by the Department of Political Science. Chairman of the Department of Political Science, Surendra Mani Tripathi, Assistant Professor, Upasana Singh, Srishti Sinha, Juhi Srivastava and all the professors and employees of other departments were also present in the program.
