Nahida Manzoor

Pampore: Only those who dare to dream  can reach their destination. It is only courage that makes one fly. This saying has been proved true by Kashmiri girl Nahida Manzoor. First by climbing the world’s highest peak Everest and now by starting paraclimbing (mountain climbing for handicapped people) in Barsu, located in Pampore district of Kashmir. Talking about her achievement, Nahida said that it was not easy to reach here. She had to face struggle at every step, but she remained dedicated to her goal and despite all the obstacles, she was successful in starting paraclimbing on the hills of Barsu.

Nahida Manzoor had to struggle at every step

It is worth noting that paraclimbing is an adventure activity. It is organized at many places in the country including Kashmir. Nahida told that she wanted to start it in Barsu. This will bring tourists here and local people will get employment. Nahida said that she had to face struggle at every step to start it here. For its approval, she had to visit the offices of administrative officers for months.

Finally she got approval. Nahida said Barsu is in a slightly inaccessible area. Tourists did not come here. But now with the start of paraclimbing, this area will be able to attract tourists as well. While the arrival of tourists will provide employment to the local youth, economic activities in the area will also accelerate.

This will also ignite a ray of development in this area. Nahida gave a message to the parents of Kashmiri girls to provide their children with an opportunity to move forward as per their wish, so that they can give flight to their dreams and bring glory to Kashmir along with their parents.

Nahida Manzoor conquered the world’s highest peak
