Prayagraj: In response to recent stampedes and tragic incidents at the Sangam, the administration has announced strict measures, declaring the entire Mahakumbh Mela area a no-vehicle zone. No vehicles, even those with special passes, will be allowed entry.
To ensure smooth movement, a one-way traffic system has been implemented for pilgrims. Vehicles from neighboring districts will be stopped at the district borders to prevent unnecessary crowding in the Mela area.
Additionally, entry of four-wheelers into the city will be completely restricted until February 4, as part of crowd control efforts.
The administration emphasized that these changes aim to manage the overwhelming crowd and prioritize the safety of pilgrims.
Pilgrims are urged to follow the guidelines and cooperate with authorities to maintain order and ensure a safe spiritual experience for all.
