Lucknow Municipal Corporation Wins First Place for Park Beautification

Award Presented at Raj Bhavan Grounds During State-Level Exhibition

Lucknow – The Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) has secured first place in park beautification at the State-Level Fruit, Vegetable, and Flower Exhibition 2025 held at Raj Bhavan Grounds. The award was conferred by  Governor  Anandiben Patel in recognition of LMC’s outstanding efforts in enhancing the city’s parks. The event was also graced by the presence of Hon’ble Mayor of Lucknow, Sushma Kharkwal.

Recognition for Beautification Efforts

Lucknow Municipal Corporation received the award for its extensive beautification of multiple parks across the city. Some of the notable parks that contributed to this achievement include:

  • Vipul Khand Park, Gomti Nagar
  • Upvan Park, Radha Nikunj
  • Mahua Sector (C) Park
  • Indira Nagar Park
  • Nirala Nagar Nursery Park
  • Various ward-level parks

These parks were selected based on their landscaping, greenery, maintenance, and aesthetic appeal, making them stand out among the competition.

LMC’s Stellar Performance in the Competition

The competition saw participation from multiple departments, including the Municipal Corporation, Housing Development, Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), and other civic bodies. Lucknow Municipal Corporation outshined others by securing:

  • First place in four parks
  • Second place in four parks
  • Third place in four parks

This remarkable feat has cemented LMC’s reputation for its commitment to enhancing urban green spaces.

Strategic Planning and Leadership Behind the Achievement

The successful beautification project was executed under the guidance of Senior Garden Officer Dr. Arvind Kumar Rao and Additional Municipal Commissioner Lalit Kumar. Their dedicated supervision and strategic planning played a crucial role in securing the award.

Prestigious Running Shield Awarded to LMC

For its first-place ranking, Lucknow Municipal Corporation was honored with the First-Class Running Shield, which was received by Additional Municipal Commissioner Lalit Kumar. Additionally, Mahua Park secured the top position in its category, earning another Running Shield, which was presented to Garden Superintendent Ganga Ram Gautam.
