Lucknow: The Faculty of Law at Integral University successfully concluded the prestigious AIU National Moot Court Competition 2026, held from April 9 to 11, bringing together some of the brightest law students from across the country.
The three-day national-level academic event began on April 9 with a ceremonial lamp lighting and witnessed participation from teams representing 40 leading universities.
Dignitaries Applaud Participants
The valedictory session was chaired by Pro-Chancellor Syed Nadeem Akhtar, who congratulated participants for their exceptional advocacy skills and analytical arguments on a complex moot proposition. Vice-Chancellor Furqan Qamar and Dean and Head of the Law Faculty Naseem Ahmad were also present on the occasion.
Competitive Rounds and Cultural Evening
Preliminary and semi-final rounds were conducted on April 10, showcasing high standards of legal reasoning and courtroom simulation. The event also featured a cultural evening highlighted by a soulful ghazal performance by Shailly Kapoor, adding a vibrant cultural touch to the competition.
Final Judged by Eminent Jury
The final round was adjudicated by a distinguished panel including Faiz Alam Khan, along with Anas Tanveer and Varun Chhachhar of University of Lucknow.
BHU Emerges Champion
The team from Banaras Hindu University clinched the winner’s title, receiving a cash prize of ₹25,000 along with a trophy and medals. Chandigarh University secured the runner-up position and was awarded ₹11,000.

Individual Honors Recognize Excellence
Among individual accolades, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University was awarded Best Researcher, while Army Institute of Law received the Best Memorial award. Mallika Chaddha from Lovely Professional University was named Best Speaker.
Special recognition awards included Inspiring Excellence for Aligarh Muslim University and Best Regional Team for Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University.
Strengthening Future Legal Professionals
The event underscored the importance of moot court competitions in shaping the professional competencies of aspiring legal practitioners by enhancing research, drafting, and advocacy skills.
