Lucknow: Special meeting of Health Department was held under the chairmanship of Municipal Commissioner, necessary guidelines were given.
An important meeting of Municipal Corporation Health Department was convened in Rajkumar Hall located at Municipal Corporation Headquarters in the presence of senior officials of Municipal Corporation under the chairmanship of Municipal Commissioner Indejit Singh. In which necessary guidelines were issued for prevention of communicable diseases and their wide publicity and spreading awareness among the people. The instructions given by the Municipal Commissioner in the meeting are as follows:-
1. Widespread publicity should be done for the prevention of dengue, malaria, chikungunya. Publicity should be done using hoardings, banners, posters, stickers and electronic media to make people aware of the prevention of communicable diseases.
2. Regular meetings and visits should be conducted by officers and supervisors of every level. A digital diary of the visits made every day should be prepared.
3. In whichever area dengue patients are found, intensive campaigns should be conducted around that area and anti-larva, fogging, cleaning of drains, etc. should be ensured.
4. Anti-larva spraying and fogging should be done regularly at all public places such as temples, schools, government/private buildings, bus stands, markets, etc.
5. Preventive action should be taken daily in coordination with the Municipal Corporation team as per the roster of the Medical and Health Department.
6. Ensure availability of chemicals, equipment and other materials in adequate quantity at every level.
7. A survey should be conducted and ensure necessary action if larvae are found.
8. In view of the rainy season, waterlogging should not occur at any place. Cleaning, repair of drains, spraying of lime/bleaching should be done as per requirement.
9. Spraying should be done in the ponds through drones and Gambusia fish should be used in the fountains.
In addition to the Municipal Commissioner, Additional Municipal Commissioner Lalit Kumar, Municipal Health Officer Dr. PK Srivastava, CMO, Deputy CMO, District Malaria Officer, Zonal Officer Zone 1, all Zonal Sanitary Officers, all sanitation and fertilizer inspectors and all malaria inspectors were present in the said meeting.
