Lucknow/Greater Noida: As part of its ongoing pursuit to build a multi-modal transport hub in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government has accelerated efforts to develop the Inter State Bus Terminal in Bodaki of Greater Noida into a single point, state-of-the-art integrated passenger handling facility with connectivity to both Local Bus Terminal (LBT) and Noida Metro.
Notably, the government is advancing the development of the Multi Modal Logistics Hub in Dadri and the Integrated Industrial Township in Greater Noida to propel the region towards a transformative phase of development.
Located strategically on the Delhi-Howrah rail route, Bodaki is set to be linked with NH-91, marking a pivotal moment in its development. This initiative aims to transform Bodaki into a single point connectivity venue, seamlessly integrating railway, highway, bus terminal, and metro services.
DPR ready for development of ISBT-LBT
Bodaki is being developed as a multi-modal transport hub in an area of 358 acres. Various phases of work are underway to complete this process. On one hand, a Detailed Project Report (DPR) has been prepared by the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) for the development of an Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) and Local Bus Terminal (LBT). General consultants have been appointed to oversee the survey, design, master planning, and preparation of EPC documents for these projects.
Emphasis on development of railway infrastructure and business hub
Simultaneously, efforts are focused on the development of railway infrastructure and business hubs. Bodaki is being developed as a state-of-the-art railway terminal to enhance seamless passenger movement. The construction of passenger terminals, station buildings, platforms, maintenance yards, tracks, and staff quarters is progressing under the supervision of the North Central Railway.
Furthermore, the North Central Railway is currently undertaking estimation processes for the development of Rail Over Bridges (ROBs), underpasses, and utility infrastructure. Regarding connectivity via the Noida Metro Rail, the Aqua Line has been extended up to the Depot Station, which was planned through a Detailed Project Report (DPR) by the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) and approved by the Yogi government.
Focus on land acquiring process to enhance road connectivity
To enhance road connectivity, Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority is developing a 105-meter main road and a 60-meter road to connect Bodaki Multi-Modal Transport Hub with NH-91. Currently, development includes the construction of a flyover in Sector Lambda and a rail over bridge over NH-91 in Greater Noida. Uttar Pradesh Bridge Corporation is overseeing these projects.
Alongside these infrastructural developments, the entire area is also being developed as a large-scale commercial hub. Under this project, infrastructure such as office spaces, retail centers, hotels, shopping malls, and multi-level parking facilities are being developed in Bodaki.
