Lucknow: Amid the devastating floods affecting several districts in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has emerged as the savior of those affected. The floods, triggered by torrential rains in the mountains and the release of water from Nepal, wreaked havoc, displacing thousands and causing significant damage to homes and crops. With many forced to seek refuge in flood shelters, the situation was dire.
In response, CM Yogi personally visited the flood-affected areas, offering both solace and substantial aid. He ensured that those displaced had proper accommodations and food, while also providing financial assistance to help rebuild their lives. The government extended support to reconstruct houses. It also, offered land and financial aid to resettle families who had lost everything in the devastating floods.
Beyond material support, CM Yogi connected emotionally with the victims, sharing in the grief of those who lost loved ones in the disaster. The financial assistance provided by his government has been a lifeline for these families. Many beneficiaries have expressed deep gratitude, viewing CM Yogi not only as the leader of the state but as a guardian of their well-being.
In the flood-hit village of Dinapurwa, Lakhimpur Kheri, Rajesh Kumar faced a daunting challenge. A thick layer of silt had accumulated in his fields, mixed with garbage and other debris brought by the floodwaters. This unexpected burden left him deeply concerned about the future of his crops. However, he soon learned that the Yogi government was offering assistance to help farmers like him remove silt from their fields.
Rajesh promptly applied for this aid, and within 24 hours of the survey, Rs 16,362 was credited to his account for the silt removal. This marked the first time he had received such assistance, and he expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Yogi government. Reflecting on the difference between the current administration and previous ones, Rajesh noted that while earlier governments only collected application forms, the Yogi government has consistently delivered real benefits across various schemes.
Similarly, in Sitapur, farmer Sukumar faced severe crop damage after his fields were inundated with floodwaters. Desperate for help, he reported the situation to the Revenue Department. Subsequently, a survey team visited his farm promptly, assessed the damage, and assured him of compensation. Remarkably, the very next day, the promised compensation was credited to his account. Sukumar was astonished by the speed of the government’s response and received a call from the local accountant confirming the transfer.
Overwhelmed with gratitude, Sukumar said that CM Yogi was a “messiah” of poor farmers like him. He praised the Chief Minister’s unwavering commitment to helping those in need, acknowledging that his leadership has brought timely and much-needed relief to those affected by the floods.
He stated: “The flood completely destroyed my house, and I felt like I had lost everything. But within 24 hours, the Yogi government deposited Rs 1.20 lakh into my account to help rebuild my home.” His joy was immeasurable when he received the funds, but the assistance didn’t stop there. The government also provided him with land to build a new house, as erosion had rendered his previous location uninhabitable.
A few days later, CM Yogi himself visited Sohan’s village to share in the community’s grief and assured them of continued support. The district administration followed up by extending additional benefits under various government schemes. Sohan Lal expressed deep gratitude, stating, “With a leader like CM Yogi Adityanath, who genuinely cares for the poor, I feel secure and free from worries.”

He also highlighted that every flood-affected person, especially children, received special attention, with provisions for milk, medicines, and healthcare. The rescue teams worked tirelessly to support those in need. He said that all this has been possible only due to the far-sightedness of CM Yogi. He added that in the previous governments, no one would come to ask them about their well-being, let alone help.
