Mumbai: Sony SAB’s Pushpa Impossible continues to explore new challenges and complicated relationships in Pushpa’s (Karuna Pandey) journey. In the upcoming track, Muskaan Bamne’s character Shanaya will appear in a completely different avatar as she disguises herself as a man to help with Bapodara’s political campaign while trying to keep her real identity hidden.
Since Bapodara does not like Shanaya, she decides to adopt a male disguise to assist him without revealing who she really is. Taking on the name Sean, Shanaya undergoes a dramatic transformation, complete with loose-fitting trousers, a moustache, sunglasses and a cap.
Bringing this unusual avatar to life required Muskaan to work on more than just her appearance. The actress observed the mannerisms of men around her to understand their gestures and body language. She also practised voice modulation to achieve a convincing masculine voice and make her portrayal more authentic.
For Muskaan, stepping into a male character was an enjoyable opportunity to experiment with a completely different look and personality. She also found Shanaya’s intentions interesting, as the character is driven by a desire to help, even though she knows that others may not understand or appreciate her actions.
Sharing her experience of portraying Sean, Muskaan Bamne said, “Transforming into Sean was an extremely fun experience for me because it gave me the opportunity to experiment with a completely different look and personality. I also observed the mannerisms of my uncle and brother to understand their gestures and behaviour, and practised my voice modulation to get the right voice for the character.
“My outfit, moustache, sunglasses and cap helped me get into the character. Playing such roles and trying something completely different is always exciting for me.”
The upcoming storyline promises an entertaining twist as Shanaya navigates the challenges of her disguise while attempting to support Bapodara’s political campaign. Her transformation is set to bring a fresh dimension to the narrative, highlighting the lengths she is willing to go to achieve her goal.
