Bareilly: Students of the University Cultural Centre of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, brought laurels to the institution by securing prizes in district-level competitions organised under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026. The university secured second place in the quiz competition and third place in the speech competition, while also making a notable showing in the painting competition.
The first phase of the campaign featured competitions at the university and affiliated college levels, with top-performing participants selected for the district-level contests conducted by the nodal centre.
Representing the university, Yash Gupta, Keshav Vats and Niglesh Kumar participated as a team in the quiz competition, while Shraddha Sharma and Ishita represented the university in painting. Sunaina Saxena and Abhay Singh participated in the speech competition. The quiz team secured second place, while Sunaina Saxena won third place in the speech competition.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Anil Kumar Rai congratulated the winners and participants, saying students have immense talent and need appropriate platforms, guidance and opportunities to showcase their abilities. Registrar Mahendra Kumar Singh also congratulated the students, describing their achievements as a matter of pride for the university.
Cultural Coordinator Dr Jyoti Pandey said the Cultural Centre would continue providing students with opportunities to develop and demonstrate their creativity, knowledge and communication skills. Faculty members, Cultural Club members and university officials also extended their congratulations to the students.
