They directed the concerned departments to complete all preparations well in advance and ensure that devotees face no inconvenience during the festival.

Extensive Arrangements for Devotees

Kajari Teej is expected to draw large numbers of devotees to Saryu Ghat, where people traditionally collect water before proceeding for jalabhishek at prominent Shiva temples.

Devotees are expected to visit Barkhandi Nath Temple in the Karnailganj police station area, Prithvinath Temple in the Kharagupur area and Dukhharan Nath Temple in Kotwali Nagar, along with other major Shiva shrines.

With devotees expected to arrive from Gonda as well as neighbouring districts for Kanwar journeys and religious processions, authorities have made extensive security and traffic arrangements.

Police, Women Personnel and Divers to Be Deployed

Adequate police personnel will be deployed around Saryu Ghat and major temple premises. Women police personnel will also be assigned for security and assistance.

Authorities have ensured the availability of diver teams at the ghat and an anti-riot drone team for enhanced surveillance and rapid response. Officials have been instructed to maintain continuous monitoring of crowded locations and take immediate action whenever required.

Traffic Diversions and Parking Arrangements

To maintain smooth traffic movement, alternative routes have been identified, barricading has been planned on key roads and parking arrangements have been made for vehicles.

Officials and police personnel present during the inspection were directed to facilitate the movement of devotees and use public-address systems effectively for crowd management and communication.

They were also instructed to remain alert and prepared to respond promptly to any emergency situation.

Safety of Devotees Top Priority

Officials emphasised that providing devotees with a safe, orderly and convenient environment during Kajari Teej remains the administration’s priority.

All officers and personnel deployed for the festival have been directed to remain vigilant at their designated duty points, continuously monitor arrangements and take immediate corrective action whenever necessary.

The coordinated preparations are aimed at ensuring that the large-scale religious observances pass off peacefully while maintaining public safety, crowd discipline and smooth traffic movement across the district.
