Mumbai: ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has launched the BSE 500 Momentum Value 50 Index Fund, offering customers a new equity investment option that combines value and momentum investing through select unit-linked insurance plans (ULIPs).
The fund is designed for investors seeking long-term equity exposure to companies that offer attractive valuations while also showing positive price momentum. It will invest in 50 companies selected from the BSE 500 and track the ICICI Pru BSE 500 Momentum Value 50 Customized Index.

The portfolio will be reviewed every quarter, allowing the composition to adjust in response to changes in stock valuations and market performance. If a constituent becomes ineligible for regulatory reasons, the next qualifying stock will be considered as a replacement.
Manish Kumar, Chief Investment Officer at ICICI Prudential Life, said the fund brings together value and momentum factors to create a structured approach to equity investing. According to him, the strategy seeks companies that are attractively priced while demonstrating favourable market trends.

The fund is available through select ULIP products, including ICICI Pru SmartKid Assure, Signature Assure, Signature Online and Smart Insurance Plan Plus.
ICICI Prudential Life reported a 99.3% claim settlement ratio in the first quarter of FY2027. As of June 30, 2026, the company’s assets under management stood at Rs 3.34 lakh crore, while it said it has maintained zero NPAs since inception.
The new fund adds another investment choice for ULIP customers looking to participate in equity markets through a rules-based strategy combining valuation and momentum factors.
