Gonda: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Devipatan Range, Ashok Kumar, inspected Karnailganj Police Station during the Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas and interacted directly with members of the public to hear their grievances. He instructed officials to ensure prompt, transparent and time-bound resolution of complaints while maintaining the highest standards of fairness and accountability.
During the public hearing, the DIG reviewed several complaints and directed the concerned police and revenue officials to coordinate closely for their effective disposal. He emphasised that addressing public grievances efficiently remains a top priority of the government and urged both departments to work in tandem, particularly in matters related to land and revenue disputes.
Ashok Kumar instructed officials that grievance redressal should not become a mere procedural exercise. Instead, every complaint should be examined thoroughly on its merits, with factual verification and the complainant’s satisfaction treated as key indicators of successful resolution.
He further directed officers to maintain transparency, accountability and sensitivity while handling public complaints, ensuring that each case receives action appropriate to its seriousness. He also reviewed the status of pending cases and stressed the need to strengthen the public grievance redressal mechanism through regular monitoring and effective follow-up.

The DIG reiterated that timely and quality disposal of complaints helps strengthen public confidence in the administration and contributes to better governance.
Circle Officer Karnailganj, along with officials and personnel from the police and revenue departments, was present during the inspection and public hearing.
