Mumbai: The makers of The Vvaan have officially announced the film’s new theatrical release date, confirming that the much-awaited folklore fantasy entertainer will arrive in cinemas on September 25, 2026. Alongside the announcement, the team unveiled a striking new poster that offers audiences a fresh glimpse into the film’s visually ambitious world.
The newly released artwork presents a dramatic top-down view of the protagonist standing between a circling bull and a tiger, creating a powerful visual rich in symbolism. The imagery hints at the central conflict of the story while reinforcing the film’s mysterious folklore-inspired setting. Shortly after its release, the poster generated significant interest on social media, with fans praising its detailed design and cinematic scale.
Positioned as a large-scale theatrical spectacle, The Vvaan blends fantasy, action, comedy and adventure within an original folklore universe inspired by Indian traditions. The filmmakers aim to deliver an immersive cinematic experience through expansive world-building, visual effects and a narrative rooted in Indian storytelling.
Unlike many contemporary productions based on adaptations or existing franchises, The Vvaan seeks to establish an entirely original mythology. The project is envisioned as the beginning of a larger folklore universe featuring its own characters, symbols and legends. The makers had earlier introduced audiences to this vision through The Legend of Vvaan comic book, which offered an early look into the film’s fictional world.
The film marks the collaboration between Balaji Motion Pictures and TVF Motion Pictures, with filmmaker Deepak Mishra directing the project. Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia headline the cast in what is expected to be one of the biggest original fantasy productions of 2026.
Presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms Ltd., in association with TVF and 11.11 Production, The Vvaan – Force of the Forrest is written by Arunabh Kumar. The film features cinematography and visual direction by Manu Anand and is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R. Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar and Niraj Kothari.
