Newly Appointed DIG Poonam Assumes Charge of Mirzapur Range; Action Against Criminals and Public Grievance Redressal Top Priorities
Mirzapur: Newly appointed Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Poonam, formally assumed charge of the Mirzapur Range and outlined her key priorities for strengthening law and order across the region.
Soon after taking over her new responsibilities, DIG Poonam stated that effective control over crime and criminals, ensuring women’s safety, curbing crimes against women, and providing prompt and quality resolution of public grievances would be among her foremost objectives. She emphasized that maintaining public trust and ensuring the safety and security of citizens would remain the highest priority of the police administration.
The DIG said that efforts would be made to further enhance the effectiveness and transparency of police functioning while ensuring strict action against offenders. She stressed the importance of a proactive policing approach to maintain peace, harmony, and a secure environment throughout the range.
Highlighting the need for responsive governance, Mrs. Poonam noted that public complaints would be addressed swiftly and efficiently, ensuring that citizens receive timely assistance and justice.
