Newly Appointed DIG Ashok Kumar Inspects UP Police Recruitment Examination Centres in Gonda

Gonda: Newly appointed Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Devipatan Range, Gonda, Ashok Kumar, conducted an inspection of various examination centres across Gonda district during the first shift of the Uttar Pradesh Police Direct Recruitment-2025 written examination for the posts of Constable Civil Police and equivalent positions.

The inspection was carried out on June 8 with the objective of ensuring that the recruitment examination was conducted in a fair, transparent, malpractice-free, and peaceful manner.

During his visit, the DIG reviewed security arrangements, candidate entry procedures, seating management, secure handling and timely distribution of question papers, and overall examination monitoring systems. He carefully assessed the measures implemented to maintain discipline, transparency, and credibility throughout the examination process.

Officials reported that the examination was being conducted smoothly across all centres in accordance with prescribed guidelines. The atmosphere at the centres remained orderly, peaceful, and conducive for candidates appearing in the recruitment test.

Directions to Maintain Transparency and Fairness

During the inspection, Ashok Kumar issued necessary instructions to examination centre administrators and concerned officials to uphold the sanctity of the recruitment process. He emphasized that the examination must remain completely free from unfair practices and directed authorities to ensure strict adherence to all operational protocols.

The DIG stressed the importance of maintaining transparency, reliability, and impartiality throughout the examination process so that deserving candidates receive a fair opportunity.

Officials informed him that all necessary administrative and security arrangements had been put in place to facilitate the smooth and successful conduct of the examination while ensuring a safe environment for candidates.

Security Review at Railway Station and Public Areas

Following the examination centre inspections, the DIG visited several major public and crowded locations in Gonda, including the Gonda Railway Station, to review security and law-and-order arrangements.

During the visit, police personnel conducted intensive checking of suspicious individuals and passengers, while security measures at key locations were thoroughly assessed. Ashok Kumar directed officers to maintain heightened vigilance and ensure effective surveillance in sensitive areas.

He also interacted with officials of the Railway Protection Force and the Government Railway Police to review passenger safety measures and railway security arrangements. The DIG instructed them to further strengthen coordination and adopt proactive measures to enhance safety and security within railway premises.

The inspection reflects the administration’s commitment to conducting the police recruitment examination with complete transparency while simultaneously ensuring robust law-and-order arrangements across the district.
