Lucknow: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt graced the Lucknow Golf Club with Sarojini Nagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh on World Environment Day. They were there for the Green Shift Golf Tournament Awards, which’s part of the Net Zero Sarojini Nagar initiative. This event is about taking care of the environment and stopping climate change.
The event had a lot of people including sports fans, people who care about the environment, leaders and citizens. They all came together to encourage everyone to help protect the environment. Sanjay Dutt told everyone that we all have to do our part to protect the environment. He said we should all try to make the world a greener place.
Sanjay Dutt wants people to get involved in taking care of the environment. He said we should all plant trees and do things that are good for the environment every day. He thinks that taking care of the environment is something we all have to do, not the government. Sanjay Dutt also said he wants to see the Net Zero movement spread beyond Sarojini Nagar and over the country.
At the event they gave prizes to the winners of the Green Shift Golf Tournament. The prizes were worth up to ₹6 lakh. They included a scooter. The tournament was a way to combine sports with taking care of the environment. It showed that when people work together we can make a difference in stopping climate change.
MLA Rajeshwar Singh said that playing golf is like trying to stop climate change. He said both things take time, patience and hard work. Singh thinks that climate change is a problem that we have to solve now. He said we all have to work to make a difference.
Singh also talked about some environmental problems in the area like bad air, not enough water and too much carbon. He said we have to make sure that taking care of the environment is part of everything we do. The event had a lot of activities to teach people about the environment, including movies, planting trees and talking about how to be sustainable.
The organizers of the event said it was a step towards making Net Zero Sarojini Nagar a movement that people can be a part of. They want to make a difference in taking care of the environment. Having an actor, like Sanjay Dutt there helped get more attention for the cause.
