Lucknow: Demonstrating alertness and public responsibility, the Mohanlalganj Police Station successfully traced the owner of an unattended bag and safely returned it to the concerned family.
According to police officials, an abandoned bag was found in the Mohanlalganj area, following which Sub-Inspector Anuj Gupta opened and checked the bag as a precautionary measure.
During the inspection, police recovered important academic documents ranging from High school to graduation mark sheets, along with a mobile phone and a pair of earbuds.
Using the documents found inside the bag, police identified the owners as Garima Singh and Yash Pratap Singh, children of Kaushal Kishore Singh and residents of Samthar in Jhansi district.

Police said the students had come to Kashishwar Inter College to appear for a UPSC examination and accidentally misplaced the bag in a hurry.
Acting swiftly, the police contacted the family and called Yash Pratap Singh and his father Kaushal Kishore Singh to the police station. After completing the necessary verification process, the bag and all belongings were safely handed over to them.
The family appreciated the prompt and responsible action of the police. The incident reflects the sensitivity, vigilance, and commitment of the police towards public service and citizen assistance.
