Lucknow: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University has launched a new academic initiative aimed at promoting mental health awareness and encouraging people to adopt a balanced and positive lifestyle.
The campaign, titled “Healthy Mind, Happy Life,” has been introduced by the university’s Department of Human Development and Family Studies through a special lecture series focusing on mental and emotional well-being across all age groups.
The lecture series is being recorded and produced with the support of the university’s Electronic Multimedia Research Centre (EMMRC) and Media Centre. The sessions will be made available through digital and online platforms to ensure wider public access.
As part of the initiative, a total of 15 expert lectures will be presented on important themes including mental health awareness, emotional balance, stress management, positive thinking, and healthy living practices.
University officials said the topics have been carefully designed to address the needs of children, adolescents, youth, adults, and senior citizens so that people from every section of society can benefit from the programme.

According to the university administration, the lecture series is expected to be particularly useful for students, parents, teachers, working professionals, homemakers, and elderly citizens. The initiative also seeks to foster a more positive social outlook towards mental health and encourage individuals to seek support whenever needed.
The campaign further aims to promote empathy, emotional sensitivity, and mutual support within society.
The academic initiative is being coordinated under the leadership of Prof. U.V. Kiran, Dean of the School of Home Science, and Prof. Shalini Agrawal, Head of the Department of Human Development and Family Studies.
The university expressed hope that the campaign will play an important role in spreading awareness about mental health and encouraging healthier and happier living practices.
