Uttar Pradesh Energy Expo 2026 Continues to Power India’s Clean Energy Vision on Day 2

Lucknow: North India’s largest initiative dedicated to the energy sector, the Uttar Pradesh Energy Expo 2026, witnessed another highly successful day with impactful policy discussions, industry participation, technology showcases, and strategic networking sessions focused on accelerating Uttar Pradesh’s renewable energy transition.

The mega initiative is being jointly organized by the UP State Chapter, PHDCCI and FirstVIEW, in collaboration with UPNEDA, Invest UP, and UPPCL, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The event has brought together policymakers, industry leaders, manufacturers, investors, startups, developers, and innovators from across India’s clean energy ecosystem.

Day 2 featured a series of insightful panel discussions and forums covering key themes shaping the future of solar and clean energy in the country.

One of the major sessions, the “UP Solar Leadership Forum: Building India’s Next Solar Growth Market — Utility Scale, Parks & Finance,” curated by SPDA, focused on the role of digital technologies and financing ecosystems in scaling large solar projects across Uttar Pradesh. Eminent speakers included  Onkar Yadav, CEO, Bundelkhand Saur Urja Limited; Deepak Raizada, Director (Corporate Planning), UPPCL; Abhishek Moza, Joint Director, UPERC; and Shri Narendra Singh, Senior Project Officer, UPNEDA. The discussion highlighted emerging opportunities in utility-scale solar parks, project financing, and smart energy management solutions.

Another important session, the “PM Surya Ghar Forum: PM Surya Ghar and Beyond – Scaling India’s Rooftop Solar Future,” focused on increasing awareness and adoption of rooftop solar systems under the Government of India’s PM Surya Ghar Yojana. Experts discussed consumer participation, financing accessibility, implementation strategies, and the growing importance of rooftop solar in India’s sustainable growth journey.

The “PM-KUSUM & Agrivoltaics Forum: Unlocking Agri-Energy Synergies in Uttar Pradesh” explored the integration of solar technology in agriculture and rural infrastructure. Discussions revolved around agri-solar management systems, solar-powered cold storage, solar-enabled agricultural machinery, agri-processing units, and financial models designed to strengthen rural economies and empower farmers.

The event also hosted the “Industrial Energy Transition & C&I Solar Forum: Harnessing Solar Power for Uttar Pradesh’s Commercial & Industrial Sector.” Industry experts deliberated on AI-driven energy management systems, smart grid technologies, and industrial energy optimization practices that are helping businesses reduce operational costs while advancing sustainability goals.

In the evening, a special felicitation ceremony was organized to honour PM Surya Ghar vendors for their contribution towards promoting rooftop solar adoption and strengthening the clean energy ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh. The ceremony was graced by  Awanish Kumar Singh, Member of Legislative Council, Uttar Pradesh, and Mahesh Gupta (Retd. IAS), Former Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Energy & Renewable Energy, Government of Uttar Pradesh, as Chief Guests. The dignitaries appreciated the efforts of industry stakeholders in accelerating the adoption of renewable energy solutions across the state.

Speaking on the success of the initiative, Varun Gulati, CEO, FirstVIEW Group, said, “The response to Uttar Pradesh Energy Expo 2026 has been truly overwhelming. The energy, engagement, and participation witnessed over the last two days reflect the immense potential and enthusiasm surrounding clean energy in Uttar Pradesh. Addressing the gathering,  Atul Srivastava, Senior Regional Director, UP State Chapter, PHDCCI, stated, “The Uttar Pradesh Energy Expo 2026 has created a strong platform for collaboration, innovation, and investment in the renewable energy sector. The active participation from stakeholders across the country reinforces Uttar Pradesh’s growing position as a key destination for solar and clean energy development.”

Organizers shared that the event witnessed a combined footfall of approximately 7,000 visitors across Day 1 and Day 2, reflecting the rapidly increasing interest in clean and sustainable energy solutions.

The organizers also acknowledged the valuable support extended by Sigenergy, KEI Wires & Cables, En ICON, Radico, SAEL, Salasar, Polycab, Slnko, Aerem, True Power Ltd., NTPC, SIDBI, and SBI, whose contribution played an important role in the successful execution of the initiative.

With tremendous enthusiasm and industry participation witnessed so far, all eyes are now set on Day 3, which is awaited with full excitement and anticipation as the Uttar Pradesh Energy Expo 2026 continues its journey towards shaping the future of clean energy in India.
