LUCKNOW – The Thakurganj Police have successfully apprehended a woman accused of orchestrating the sexual assault of a minor girl. The arrest follows a harrowing complaint detailing a calculated conspiracy involving bribery, abuse, and death threats.
The Incident and Allegations
The case came to light on April 26, 2026, when the victim’s guardian approached the authorities. According to the police report, the accused woman, identified as Sameera (alias Sahreen), allegedly lured the minor girl to her residence in Hasrat Town.
The investigation reveals a disturbing sequence of events:
-
The Set-up: Sameera reportedly summoned the minor to her room while simultaneously coordinating with the co-accused, Danish, to meet them there.
-
The Facilitation: It is alleged that Sameera used monetary bait to lure the child, subsequently facilitating the commission of rape by Danish.
-
Intimidation: When the victim attempted to resist the assault, Sameera allegedly subjected her to verbal abuse and issued chilling death threats to ensure her silence.
Swift Police Action and Arrest
Following the formal complaint, the Thakurganj Police acted with immediacy, registering FIR No. 261/2026. The charges filed fall under the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Dowry Prohibition (DP) Act, specifically:

On April 27, 2026, acting on intelligence regarding her whereabouts, a police team raided a residence in Baraura Hussain Bari. Sameera was taken into custody without incident and is currently being produced before the Honorable Court.
