IMS Students of Lucknow University Visit FDDI Raebareli for Industrial Exposure

Lucknow: Students of the Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), located at the new campus of University of Lucknow, undertook an educational industrial visit to Footwear Design and Development Institute, Raebareli, on April 24, 2026, to gain practical insights into the production processes of leather products.

The visit involved MBA fourth-semester students specialising in Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, and International Business. Organised under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Prof. J. P. Saini and IMS OSD Prof. Vineeta Kachar, the programme aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practices.

During the visit, students were introduced to various stages of leather product manufacturing, including design, processing, and finishing. They also received hands-on exposure to different machines and were trained in their operation, helping them better understand industrial workflows and production techniques.

Officials at FDDI provided detailed explanations of manufacturing standards and quality control measures followed in the industry. The interaction offered students a comprehensive overview of the sector, enhancing their understanding of real-world business environments.

The industrial visit, an integral part of the MBA curriculum, was designed to equip students with practical knowledge and professional exposure. Participants described the experience as highly informative and engaging, noting that it significantly enriched their academic learning.
