Former Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Visits Lucknow for Private Engagements; Pays Condolences in Kurmanchal Nagar

Lucknow: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Union Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ visited Lucknow over the weekend for a series of private engagements, including attendance at a wedding ceremony and personal meetings with close acquaintances.

According to information received, Dr. Pokhriyal arrived in the Uttar Pradesh capital from Uttarakhand as part of his personal schedule. On Sunday, he attended the wedding ceremony of the daughter of Dr. Mahendra Singh, where he extended his blessings to the newlyweds.

On Monday morning, the former Union Minister made a brief but notable visit to Kurmanchal Nagar in Lucknow. Maintaining a low-profile and simple appearance, he first visited the residence of Vikram Bafila and Samta Bafila. His arrival, however, quickly became known in the area, prompting a gathering of supporters and members of the Himalayan community who warmly welcomed him.

Later in the day, Dr. Pokhriyal was informed about a bereavement in the family of Tribhuvan Joshi, whose father had passed away three days earlier. Showing sensitivity and respect, he immediately proceeded to the residence on foot from Kurmanchal Nagar instead of using his vehicle. His security personnel followed closely as he walked to offer condolences.

Upon reaching the bereaved family, Dr. Pokhriyal expressed his sympathy and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the grieving relatives. He spent around ten minutes with the family, offering words of comfort during their moment of loss.

BJP leaders Naveen Chaudhary and Manish Upadhyay were also present during the visit.

After completing his brief condolence meeting, Dr. Pokhriyal returned to his vehicle, and his convoy soon moved on, disappearing from the area amid tight security arrangements.

The visit, marked by simplicity and personal outreach, drew attention from local residents who appreciated his gesture of directly meeting and consoling the bereaved family during their time of sorrow.
