Lucknow: The Gudamba Police Station Lucknow team has arrested a wanted and warrant accused in connection with a firing incident that took place in Vivekanandpuram area, officials said on Sunday.
Arrest Executed Under Court Warrant
The accused, identified as Yasin Gazi (31), a resident of Vivekanandpuram, Kalyanpur West under Gudamba police station limits, was arrested on April 10, 2026, at around 9:30 PM from his residence following the execution of a non-bailable warrant (NBW) issued by a court.
The arrest was made by the Gudamba Police Station Lucknow team in compliance with orders of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court.
Background of the Firing Incident
The case relates to a violent clash between two groups that took place on September 16, 2025, in Vivekanandpuram, Gudamba area, over a financial dispute. During the incident, firing was reported from both sides, leaving one person injured from each group.
Following the incident, multiple FIRs were registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Case Crime No. 381/2025 and 383/2025.
Co-Accused and Investigation
Police had earlier arrested co-accused Mohd Asif, while Yasin Gazi had been absconding since the incident. His arrest was delayed due to continuous evasion, leading to the issuance of an NBW by the court.
Criminal History
Police records indicate that the accused has a serious criminal background, including cases under attempt to murder, extortion, gang activities, and other serious offences registered in Gudamba and Indiranagar police stations.
Legal Action Underway
After arrest, the accused has been produced before the court, and further legal proceedings are in progress, police confirmed.

The arrest operation was carried out by Sub-Inspector Phaneesh Singh along with Constables Kuldeep Kumar and Rahul Kumar of Gudamba Police Station.
