Lucknow: The Bazarkhala Police Station Lucknow team has arrested a wanted accused under the Gangster Act who was allegedly involved in multiple robbery incidents across the city along with his associates.
Intensive Surveillance and Continuous Raids
Acting on sustained surveillance and repeated raids conducted under the supervision of senior police officials, the accused was arrested following targeted intelligence inputs.
The operation was carried out under the direction of Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Kamlesh Dixit, Additional DCP West Dhananjay Kushwaha, and under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police, Bazarkhala Virendra Vikram.
Arrest From Gulzar Nagar Route
Police identified the accused as Mohd Imran alias Chand Babu (23), resident of Wazirbagh, Shahi Badi Masjid area under Sadatganj police station limits.
He was arrested on April 11, 2026, from the route between Gulzar Nagar and Aishbagh after specific information was received from an informer. The accused was taken into custody at around 2:35 PM following due legal procedure.
Criminal Network and Modus Operandi
According to police officials, the accused operated as part of a gang involved in multiple incidents of robbery and theft across Lucknow. He, along with his associates, targeted unsuspecting victims and was actively evading arrest for several pending cases.

Criminal History
The accused has a history of serious criminal cases, including multiple FIRs registered under Sections 392 and 411 of the IPC and Arms Act cases at different police stations including Dubagga, Thakurganj, Tal Katora, and Sadatganj.
Gangster Act Case
The arrest is linked to Case No. 167/2025 under Sections 2B(i)(xi)/3(1) of the Uttar Pradesh Gangster Act registered at Sadatganj Police Station.
Police Team Involved
The arrest was executed by Inspector-in-Charge Brijesh Singh along with Head Constable Awadhesh Kumar Yadav and Constable Santosh Yadav of Bazarkhala Police Station.
The accused has been produced before the competent court, and further legal proceedings are underway.
