Orientation Session for the Preparatory Department at La Mart Boys organized

Lucknow: The Orientation Session for the Preparatory Department for the academic session 2026–2027 was conducted with great enthusiasm and warmth, welcoming the parents of newly admitted students of both Nursery and Preparatory classes. The event aimed at fostering a strong partnership between the school and parents, setting the tone for a successful academic year ahead.
The programme was graced by the esteemed Principal,  Gary Dominic Everett, the College Bursar,  Adrian Michael, and the Head of the Preparatory Department,  Sharon Mulcahy.
The session commenced with a solemn prayer by Sharon Mulcahy , the Head of the Department , invoking the Almighty’s blessings for a fruitful and successful year. This was followed by the Principal’s Address, wherein, Gary Dominic Everett, shared his vision for the institution and emphasized the importance of collaboration between parents and the school in nurturing young minds.
The College Bursar’s Address highlighted important guidelines related to fee structure and other administrative procedures, ensuring clarity for all parents.
Thereafter, Sharon Mulcahy, Head of the Preparatory Department, addressed the gathering and extended a heartfelt welcome to all present. She emphasized that the orientation marked the beginning of a meaningful partnership built on trust and cooperation. She elaborated on the philosophy of the department, focusing on holistic development, a nurturing environment, and experiential learning.
Key highlights of the H.O.D’s address included:
• Overview of the department structure, with 8 Nursery sections (A–H) and 7 Preparatory sections (A–G), and a total strength of approximately 561 students.
• Details of school timings, a five-day working schedule, and the importance of punctuality.
• Introduction to classroom facilities, safety measures, play areas, and co-curricular activities.
• Emphasis on theme-based learning, student well-being, and communication channels such as section-specific WhatsApp groups.
• Information on activities such as Show and Tell, Art & Craft, Music, Dance, Bagless Days, and Club Activities.
• Guidelines and expectations from parents regarding attendance, communication, discipline, and overall cooperation.
The teaching faculty and support staff were also introduced, reassuring parents of the capable and dedicated team entrusted with their children.
An interactive Query Session followed, where parents actively participated and had their concerns addressed by the Principal, Bursar, and Head of Department.
The session also featured a Video Presentation, conveying a meaningful message about the journey of learning and the role of parents and educators in shaping a child’s future.
The programme concluded on a cordial note with refreshments for parents and staff, providing an opportunity for informal interaction. Parents were also guided to collect pending enrolment forms from the designated area and were reminded to submit both copies on the first day of joining.
The Orientation Session proved to be highly informative and engaging, laying a strong foundation for a collaborative and enriching academic year ahead.
