Gonda: District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan chaired a high-level review meeting at the Collectorate auditorium, assessing progress in health, Panchayati Raj, Anganwadi, MGNREGA and the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin.
Expressing concern over negligence, she warned of departmental action against village heads showing lack of interest in development works. She also ordered recovery from Panchayat secretaries who sanctioned housing funds to ineligible beneficiaries.
During the health review, the DM flagged issues like shortage of doctors, OPD management, waterlogging, and absence of CHC superintendents during night duty. She directed random night inspections and mandatory geo-tagged attendance of Community Health Officers twice daily.

Strict instructions were issued to expedite pending Anganwadi applications and improve construction progress, with a show-cause notice ordered against Chhapia BDO.
She also emphasized verification under housing schemes, Ayushman card monitoring, ABHA ID generation, and detailed MGNREGA data analysis to ensure transparency and timely implementation across the district.
