Lucknow: Traffic enforcement has been stepped up in the state capital as the Uttar Pradesh Traffic Police launched a major checking drive to ensure strict compliance with road safety norms.
The campaign was carried out under the leadership of Traffic ACP Abhinav Yadav at the busy Tilewali Masjid intersection in the Chowk police station area. The operation targeted illegal passenger vehicles (daggamar), four-wheelers with black films, and two-wheeler riders violating traffic rules.
During the drive, authorities issued challans to several offenders, while multiple vehicles were seized for serious violations. The sudden कार्रवाई created a stir among commuters, prompting many to adhere to traffic regulations.

Officials stated that the crackdown is part of an ongoing effort to improve road discipline and enhance public safety. The traffic police also sent a clear message that strict enforcement will continue, and violators will face firm action in the coming days.
