Lucknow: An enrolment awareness campaign aimed at promoting quality education was organised at two schools in Lucknow under the inspiration and guidance of Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel.
The initiative, led by Adarsh Madhyamik Vidyalaya Jan Bhavan, was conducted at Mangla Devi School in Sadar and Model Montessori School, bringing together parents, teachers, and students to highlight the institution’s academic offerings and facilities.
At Mangla Devi School, officials from Jan Bhavan provided detailed information about the school’s infrastructure, teaching standards, and co-curricular activities. A video presentation showcasing the school’s features and achievements was also screened for attendees.
The session at Model Montessori School was chaired by Special Secretary to the Governor Shriprakash Gupta, who emphasised that education is not merely a means of livelihood but a tool for holistic personality development and nation-building. Referring to the National Education Policy 2020, he underlined the importance of imparting education in the mother tongue up to Class 5 to strengthen foundational learning and confidence among students.
He also highlighted the crucial role of parents and teachers in shaping children’s character and ensuring their overall growth.

On the occasion, Governor’s aide Puneet Dwivedi spoke about essential benchmarks of a good school, including accessibility, qualified teachers, discipline, sports, and character-building initiatives. He noted that Adarsh Madhyamik Vidyalaya meets these standards and invited parents to visit the campus to experience its facilities firsthand.
Controller of Jan Bhavan Nidhi Pandey interacted with parents, elaborating on the school’s vision and objectives. Principal Rashmi Pandey also addressed the gathering, outlining academic and extracurricular opportunities available to students.
The programme witnessed active participation from officials, educators, students, and representatives from local departments, reflecting a collective effort to promote access to quality education and encourage enrolment in government institutions.
