Free Homeopathic Clinic Launched in Ayodhya; Experts Highlight Effectiveness in Treating Chronic Illnesses

Ayodhya: A free homeopathic clinic was inaugurated at Ramakrishna Mission Ashram on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, marking a significant step toward accessible healthcare for all. The initiative has been launched under the aegis of Ramakrishna Mission Seva Ashram in collaboration with Vivekananda Polyclinic & Institute of Medical Sciences.

The clinic was formally inaugurated by Swami Muktinathanand, President of the Ramakrishna Math, who emphasized that homeopathy can effectively treat even serious diseases without side effects. Addressing the gathering, he noted that while allopathic medicines often come with adverse effects, homeopathic treatment offers a safer, holistic approach that works at the root of the disease.

He further stressed that homeopathy is both affordable and accessible, making it especially beneficial for economically weaker sections. “Many people underestimate homeopathy due to its low cost and miss out on its assured benefits, which is a grave mistake,” he said. Drawing inspiration from the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, he highlighted that providing affordable and quality healthcare is a form of service to humanity.

The clinic aims to benefit not only local residents but also saints and pilgrims visiting Ayodhya. It will operate three days a week—Monday, Wednesday, and Friday—from 9 am to 1 pm. Patients will receive free consultation and medicines, with homeopathy specialist Dr. Shalini Singh examining and treating patients.

Dr. Amit Pandey, Head of the Homeopathy Department at Vivekananda Hospital, stated that the clinic will focus on treating ailments related to children, women, and gynecological conditions. He added that homeopathy is a complete and effective system of medicine, though its reputation has sometimes suffered due to incomplete knowledge among practitioners. The initiative, he said, aims to restore confidence in the system and ensure patients receive its full benefits.

Dr. Shalini Singh, MD (Homeopathy) and in-charge of the Ayodhya clinic, pointed out that the World Health Organization has recognized homeopathy as one of the widely practiced systems of medicine globally. She described it as a natural and cost-effective treatment method that is equally effective for children, women, and the elderly.

The inauguration ceremony included Vedic chants and aarti performed by monks of the Ramakrishna Math. Swami Mokshapradanand and Swami Poornamathanand, along with other members of the ashram, were also present on the occasion.

The launch of this free clinic is expected to play a crucial role in expanding affordable healthcare services in Ayodhya, while promoting awareness about the benefits of homeopathy among the masses.
