Lucknow: The Rahimabad Police in Lucknow have arrested two men accused of molesting a 14-year-old girl and threatening her with death. The arrests were made following a swift investigation and a tip-off from an informant.
Incident Overview
On March 20, 2026, a complaint was filed at Rahimabad Police Station stating that two individuals had taken the minor girl into a secluded area, attempted molestation, verbally abused her, and threatened her life. The complainant reported that the accused pushed the girl in an attempt to flee. Based on the complaint, FIR No. 46/2026 was registered under Sections 137(2), 74, 352, 351(3) of the BNS Act and Sections 7/8 of the POCSO Act against the accused.
Arrests and Recovery
During the investigation, evidence was collected, and on March 21, 2026, acting on information from a special informant, the Rahimabad Police arrested:
- Udayveer Rawat, son of Parmeshwar, aged approximately 25, resident of Village Nasirpur Nimaicha, Police Station Auras, District Unnao.
- Sarwan Pal, son of the late Parshuram, aged approximately 24, resident of Village Nasirpur Nimaicha, Police Station Auras, District Unnao.
The police also recovered a motorcycle (Vehicle No. UP 30AR 3570) used in the crime. The arrests were conducted in strict compliance with Supreme Court and Human Rights Commission guidelines, and the accused have been presented before the appropriate court.
