CII Uttar Pradesh Hosts Interaction Session with Canadian High Commissioner Christopher Cooter

Lucknow: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Uttar Pradesh, organized a special interaction session with Canada’s High Commissioner to India, Christopher Cooter, bringing together leading members of the industry for a high-level dialogue on strengthening bilateral economic ties.

The session was led by Abhishek Saraf, Chairman of CII Uttar Pradesh and Managing Director of Awadh Rail Infra Limited, along with Pranay S. Garg, Vice Chairman of CII Uttar Pradesh and Managing Director of Advance Valves Pvt Ltd.

The interaction served as a key platform to explore new avenues of collaboration between India and Canada, with focused discussions on sectors such as clean energy, agri-tech, education, infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing. Participants deliberated on enhancing trade and investment flows, strengthening technology partnerships, and fostering innovation and skill development.

Industry members shared insights on Uttar Pradesh’s evolving industrial landscape, highlighting opportunities to attract Canadian investments into the state while also exploring prospects for expanding business engagements in Canada. Key issues such as ease of doing business, policy support, and the role of industry bodies in facilitating international cooperation were also discussed.

The session concluded with a shared commitment to further deepen India–Canada economic engagement and unlock new collaborative opportunities for mutual growth and development.
