Grand Conclusion of Scout–Rovers–Rangers Training Camp in Gonda; SP Inspires Youth for Nation Building

Gonda: A five-day Scout, Rovers and Rangers training and inspection camp concluded on Tuesday evening at Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Degree College with an enthusiastic closing ceremony. The event ended at around 5:30 pm in the presence of the chief guest, Vineet Jaiswal, who encouraged participants and praised their dedication.

Addressing the gathering, the Superintendent of Police highlighted the importance of scouting activities in shaping responsible citizens. He said such programmes help develop discipline, teamwork, leadership qualities and a spirit of service among young people. Emphasising the role of youth in national development, he urged students to actively contribute to building a stronger and self-reliant nation.

During the five-day camp, participants received practical training in first aid, disaster management, physical fitness, community service and discipline-based activities. A formal evaluation process was also conducted to assess the skills and performance of the scouts, rovers and rangers, with outstanding participants being felicitated during the closing ceremony.

College authorities also shared details about the camp’s activities and achievements. The institution’s principal, Prof. Aman Chandra, and Rovers/Rangers in-charge Dr. Manoj Kumar Mishra expressed gratitude to the chief guest and highlighted the educational and character-building value of such training camps.

Several dignitaries attended the programme, including trainee IPS officer Pradeep Kumar, principal Ravindra Kumar, management committee vice-president Varsha Singh, secretary Umesh Kumar Shah and IQAC coordinator Jitendra Singh. Faculty members, staff and a large number of students were also present.

The programme concluded with the singing of the national anthem, marking a memorable end to the training camp.
