&TV’s Women’s Day Initiative ‘Selfie Lo. Shine Karo. Star Ban Jaao!’ Turns Selfies into Symbols of Empowerment in Lucknow

Celebrating women, confidence, and self-expression, Shilpa Shinde brought the campaign live spotlighting everyday heroes This Women’s Day, &TV transformed the simple act of taking a selfie into a powerful celebration of individuality, confidence, and self-expression with its signature initiative, Selfie Lo. Shine Karo. Star Ban Jaao! More than a celebration, this initiative reflected the channel’s commitment to empowering women by giving them visibility and a platform to shine, while encouraging them to express their confidence and individuality.

The initiative featured a specially curated &TV mirror installation, crowned with symbolism and messages like #Women&Creator, #Women&Achiever, #Women&Dreamer and #Women&Believer. Each selfie clicked at the installation became a statement—a reflection of self-confidence and personal pride. By participating in tagging &TV, women became part of a larger narrative that celebrates self-recognition, visibility, and expression.

Shilpa Shinde, beloved as Angoori Bhabi from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! 2.0, joined the campaign on 8th March at Lucknow’s Lulu Mall, engaging with participants and reinforcing the initiative’s purpose. Select women interacted with her, capturing empowering moments that turned everyday selfies into star experiences.
