Mau/Lucknow: In a landmark development for Mau district, Uttar Pradesh’s Urban Development and Energy Minister A.K. Sharma laid the foundation stone for the construction of a Pipa (pontoon) bridge at Hanuman Ghat on the banks of the Tamsa River. The long-awaited project is expected to resolve a century-old connectivity issue and significantly boost regional development.
The foundation ceremony witnessed the presence of public representatives, senior officials, and a large gathering of local residents. The atmosphere was celebratory, as people expressed relief and happiness over the commencement of the much-anticipated infrastructure project.

He noted that for nearly 100 years, residents had struggled to cross the Tamsa River, especially during the monsoon season when transportation was severely disrupted. “With the construction of this Pipa bridge, a permanent solution to these challenges is now within reach,” he said.
