Lucknow: The first day of Riwaayat 8.0, the annual cultural fest of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU), commenced with great enthusiasm, marking the vibrant opening of one of the institution’s most anticipated celebrations. Students, faculty members, and guests gathered in large numbers to witness a day filled with artistic expression and cultural pride.
The festivities began at 9:00 AM with a formal inauguration ceremony that set the tone for the celebrations ahead. The event opened with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the respected heads of the institution, symbolizing knowledge, positivity, and new beginnings. This was followed by a graceful Ganesh Vandana performed by Natraj, the dance society of Tehzeeb, which captivated the audience with its elegance and devotion.
Soon after the inauguration, the Singing Preliminaries took center stage. Participants delivered a wide array of performances, ranging from classical melodies to contemporary compositions. The competition highlighted vocal strength, tonal clarity, rhythm, and emotional depth, earning appreciation from both judges and attendees.
The Poetry Competition, titled Rangeen Alfaaz, provided a powerful literary platform for participants to share their original compositions and recitations. The performances resonated deeply with the audience, touching upon themes such as identity, heritage, resilience, and aspiration. The winners of the competition were Rishita Prajapati, Anmol Mishra, and Manas, whose expressive pieces stood out for their creativity and impact.
Simultaneously, the Dance Competition Preliminaries showcased an energetic mix of styles, blending classical traditions with contemporary and fusion choreography. Each performance reflected dedication, coordination, and artistic innovation, adding dynamic momentum to the day’s events.
