UP Political Heat Rises: Mohan Bhagwat Meets CM, Deputy CMs Amid Buzz Over 2027 Strategy

Lucknow: Political activity has intensified in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections, with Mohan Bhagwat holding a series of key meetings during his visit to the state. After his Gorakhpur tour, the RSS chief arrived in Lucknow and met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for nearly 40 minutes at Saraswati Shishu Mandir in Nirala Nagar.

On Thursday morning, Bhagwat also held separate meetings with Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak before leaving for Meerut. While no official statement was issued, the meetings are being viewed as politically significant.

Sources suggest discussions may have focused on strengthening the Hindutva agenda, ensuring social harmony, and countering caste-based politics ahead of the 2027 polls. Observers believe the interactions signal efforts to reinforce coordination between the RSS and the BJP government in the state.

With the RSS emphasizing unity within Hindu society and better organization-government synergy, the meetings are seen as part of early groundwork for the 2027 electoral roadmap in India’s most politically crucial state.
