Lucknow: The Lucknow Falcons delivered a thrilling performance to emerge champions of the Satwant Singh, Ravindra Pal Singh Memorial Football Tournament, defeating Big Blue Football Club 1–0 in a closely contested final at Chowk Stadium. A decisive goal by Abhishek proved enough to seal a memorable victory for the Falcons.
Organised under the supervision of the Lucknow Football Association, the final lived up to expectations, with both teams displaying high intensity and competitive spirit. The opening half witnessed end-to-end action as both sides launched multiple attacks, but strong and alert defensive units on either end ensured that neither team could break the deadlock. The first half ended with the score level at 0–0.
Abhishek Breaks the Deadlock
The tempo increased in the second half as both teams renewed their attacking efforts. The breakthrough came in the 60th minute, when Abhishek capitalised on a well-timed pass from a teammate and struck a powerful shot past the goalkeeper, sending the ball into the net. The goal handed Lucknow Falcons a crucial 1–0 lead, igniting celebrations among players and supporters alike.
