Thane/Lucknow: Panic has gripped Maharashtra’s Thane district after three minor girls went missing from Kalyan, prompting police to extend their search to Uttar Pradesh. The girls—two real sisters aged 13 and 14, and their 13-year-old niece—left their home in Barave village under the Khadakpada police station area early Monday morning but failed to return.
According to police officials, the girls left the house around 5:30 am. When they did not come back for several hours, family members searched nearby areas and contacted relatives and acquaintances, but no information was found. Subsequently, a missing complaint was lodged at the Khadakpada police station.

Taking the matter seriously, the police registered a case and launched an investigation. During preliminary inquiries, police received a crucial input suggesting that the girls may have been seen in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Acting on this information, a special police team from Thane has been dispatched to Lucknow and is coordinating with local police to trace the minors.

An abduction case has been registered due to the girls’ age, and authorities said all possible angles are being investigated. Police have also appealed to the public to immediately inform the nearest police station if they have any information regarding the missing girls.
