New Delhi: The Publications Division under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is participating in the New Delhi World Book Fair 2026, scheduled to be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from January 10 to January 18, 2026. The nine-day mega event is being organised by the National Book Trust (NBT), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO).
Aligning with the book fair’s central theme, “Indian Military History: Valour & Wisdom @ 75,” the Publications Division is presenting a rich and diverse collection of books in English, Hindi, and several Indian languages. The curated selection is aimed at engaging readers of all age groups and interests.

The exhibition features publications covering a wide range of subjects including art and culture, history, cinema, biographies, personalities, land and people, Gandhian literature, and children’s literature. Visitors can also explore the Division’s premium and prestigious publications such as the Rashtrapati Bhavan Series, Selected Speeches of the President, Vice President and Prime Minister, The Collected Works of Mahatma Gandhi, and the Collected Works of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya.
In addition to books, the Publications Division is also showcasing its widely read journals such as Yojana, Kurukshetra, Aajkal, and Bal Bharti. Visitors to the stall can also purchase annual subscriptions to these journals, along with the popular employment newspapers Employment News and Rozgar Samachar.
The New Delhi World Book Fair is regarded as one of the most prominent literary events in the country, attracting participation from major national and international publishing houses. Alongside book exhibitions, the fair will host a range of engaging activities including Author’s Connect sessions, Yuva Corner, Child Authors’ Corner, and various cultural programmes.

The Publications Division stall is located at Stall No. D-08, Hall No. 5, Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, where readers and visitors can explore the extensive catalogue on display.
Established in 1941, the Publications Division is a premier publishing house of the Government of India. It serves as a repository of books and journals focusing on subjects of national importance and India’s rich cultural heritage. The Division publishes works in multiple languages on themes such as development, Indian history, culture, literature, biographies, science, technology, environment, and employment.
Its flagship publications include the monthly journals Yojana, Kurukshetra, and Aajkal, the weekly employment newspapers Employment News and Rozgar Samachar, and the prestigious reference annual India Year Book.
