Lucknow: Under the Mission Shakti 5.0 campaign, an awareness programme focusing on the safety of women and children was organised by the Vikas Nagar police in Lucknow. The initiative aimed to educate women, girls, and children about crimes against women, cybercrime, and available government support services.
The awareness drive was conducted in the Tedi Pulia beat area of Vikas Nagar, where police personnel interacted directly with local residents. During the programme, women and girls were sensitised about various forms of women harassment, cyber fraud, and digital safety, highlighting preventive measures and timely reporting.

Police officials provided detailed information about important helpline services, including 1090 Women Power Line, 112 Emergency Service, 181 Women Helpline, 1098 Childline, 1076 Toll-Free Helpline, and the 1930 Cyber Crime Helpline. Participants were encouraged to seek immediate assistance through these services in case of any emergency or suspicious activity.

As part of the campaign, the process of registering online complaints through the Cyber Crime Reporting Portal and the UP COP App was also explained. Women and girls present at the programme pledged to remain vigilant against cyber threats and to spread awareness within their communities.
The event witnessed active participation from women police personnel, along with local women and girls, reinforcing the commitment of the police administration towards ensuring safety, awareness, and empowerment at the grassroots level.
