Noida: The second season of the Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL) began on a high-energy note at the Noida Indoor Stadium, delivering excitement and closely fought contests for kabaddi fans. Despite starting a day later than scheduled, the league wasted no time in making an impact, with four intense matches on the opening day—three of them decided by narrow margins—highlighting the rising competitiveness and professionalism of the tournament.

In the season opener, Noida Ninjas edged past Kanpur Warriors 39–36 in a tightly contested clash. Both teams exchanged points throughout the match, but Noida’s defenders stepped up in crucial moments, helping their side secure a hard-fought victory.

Defending champions Lucknow Lions then stamped their authority with a dominant 49–23 win over Ganga Kings of Mirzapur. After a close first half, Lucknow shifted gears post-interval, with aggressive raiding and solid defense leading to multiple all-outs.
