Lucknow: Dreamers Playschool celebrated its Annual Sports Day on Sunday, 21st December, with great enthusiasm and active participation from students, parents, and staff. The event reflected the school’s commitment to holistic development through physical fitness, cultural values, and joyful learning.
The programme commenced with a Mashal Walk followed by the lamp lighting ceremony, symbolizing the true spirit of sportsmanship. An auspicious beginning with “Swagatham” invoking Ganpati Bappa set a positive and energetic tone for the day.
Students presented a series of well-coordinated PT drills, including the Cricket Drill, Pom Pom Drill, and Hula Drill, showcasing discipline, teamwork, and confidence. The Cricket Drill was followed by a special and inspiring moment where the Founder Principal, Mrs. Smitaa Sachdeva, recreated the historic moment of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team winning the World Cup, symbolically handing over the trophy as a captain to her team, conveying a strong message of leadership, unity, and women empowerment.
A thematic presentation titled “Our India, Our Pride” delivered four powerful social messages centred around Green India and Clean India. Through creative formations, the children demonstrated plantation and care for nature, the importance of keeping surroundings clean, urged everyone to say no to plastic, and highlighted the habit of using dustbins for waste disposal, spreading awareness about environmental responsibility from an early age.
The yoga formation “Panchbhootam – The Five Elements of Earth” further emphasized harmony between mind, body, and nature, reinforcing holistic well-being.

The sports segment featured a variety of age-appropriate races such as Little Farmers’ Race, Hawaiian Race, Flag Race, Santa Race, Bunny Hop, Caterpillar to Butterfly Race, and Planet Sack Race. The energetic Parents’ Tug-of-War (Mothers vs Fathers) added excitement and strengthened parent–school bonding. A special Christmas surprise by Santa brought immense joy to the children.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence ofShipra Bajpai, Former Vice Principal of CMS and currently Principal of Gyan Heritage School, and Madhumita Mukherjee, Principal of Swarnim Public School. Both chief guests appreciated the school’s thoughtful integration of physical fitness, values, and creativity in early childhood education and encouraged the young learners with their inspiring words.
Amit Kumar Sachdeva, Director of Dreamers Playschool, and Smitaa Sachdeva, Principal, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the chief guests, parents, and staff for their continued support and reiterated the school’s vision of nurturing confident, healthy, and socially responsible young learners.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem, marking a memorable and meaningful end to the celebration.
