Lucknow: Aniruddh and Anuj stamped their authority at the 23rd Eldeco Cup Prize Money Tennis Tournament with commanding performances, setting up an all-important title clash in the boys’ under-18 singles category.
The ₹1 lakh prize money tournament, organised by the SDS Tennis Academy at the La Martiniere Lawn Tennis Facility, La Martiniere College, witnessed both players advancing to the under-18 singles final in impressive fashion. Their consistent show across categories underlined their growing dominance in the competition.
In the first under-18 singles semi-final, Aniruddh registered a comprehensive 7–1 victory over Ansh Saxena to book his place in the final. The second semi-final saw Anuj edge past Dhruv Singh 7–5 in a closely fought encounter, sealing a much-anticipated title showdown between the two.
Apart from the under-18 category, both Aniruddh and Anuj also progressed to the semi-finals in the men’s singles and men’s doubles events, further highlighting their all-round performance in the tournament.

In the men’s singles quarter-finals, Sourabh Singh secured a hard-fought 7–5 win over Shobhit Tandon. Aniruddh defeated Manish 7–3, while Anuj produced a dominant display to overcome Rishi 7–2. Om completed the semi-final line-up with a 7–4 victory against Manu. As a result, Sourabh, Aniruddh, Anuj and Om advanced to the last four.
The men’s doubles competition also saw intense action. In the first quarter-final, the Anuj–Aniruddh pair showcased excellent coordination to defeat Arnav and Pranav 7–4. In the other quarter-final, Om and Varun beat the duo of Anand Prakash and Arnav Srivastava 7–3 to move into the semi-finals.
With the under-18 title clash between Aniruddh and Anuj on the cards and the senior categories reaching decisive stages, the tournament promises high-quality tennis in the days ahead.
