Lucknow: Lucknow is poised for a grand cultural celebration as Repertwahr Festival Season 13 is set to take place from December 18 to 21, 2025, at Janeshwar Mishra Park. Widely recognised as one of India’s most unique and inclusive performing arts festivals, Repertwahr returns this year continuing its 16-year legacy of celebrating creativity, expression and community.
Since its inception in 2009, Repertwahr Festival has emerged as Uttar Pradesh’s most celebrated cultural property, hosting over 500 artists and welcoming more than 2.5 lakh attendees across 12 successful editions. The festival is known for bringing together diverse art forms on a single platform, creating a holistic cultural experience for audiences of all age groups.
New Experiences in Season 13
One of the biggest highlights this year is the introduction of TAAL – The Silent Disco, curated by renowned DJ Nikhil Chinapa, making its debut in Lucknow. The concept brings together some of the country’s leading DJs including DJ Skipster, DJ Laapata and DJ Dr. Sangria, promising an immersive and contemporary musical experience.
Another major attraction is a specially curated food arena, celebrating Lucknow’s iconic culinary heritage. The initiative draws inspiration from UNESCO’s recognition of Lucknow as a Creative City of Gastronomy, and will feature some of the city’s most loved culinary brands.
Adding to the festival’s interactive spirit, Season 13 introduces a range of hands-on creative workshops designed for children, parents and families. These include Live Pottery Workshops, Tote Bag Printing and Mirror Decoration, Sneaker Painting Workshops and Crochet Workshops, encouraging participation and creativity across generations.
A dedicated “Bachpan – The Kids’ Zone” has also been set up, offering a safe and engaging environment filled with activities and games for toddlers and children.
Power-Packed Line-up Across Stages
Theatre remains at the heart of Repertwahr, with an impressive line-up of acclaimed productions. Audiences can look forward to “Mohan Ka Masala” featuring Pratik Gandhi, “Jo Dooba So Paar” by Manav Kaul, “Vodka & No Tonic” starring Lillete Dubey, and “Ambaa”, directed by Atul Kumar.
The MAHOL Music Stage will host popular musical acts including Anuv Jain, Nikhil Chinapa and the iconic band Euphoria, while MAHOL Comedy promises laughter-filled evenings with stand-up performances by Aakash Gupta, Gaurav Gupta and Gurleen Pannu.
Literature enthusiasts will be drawn to the SHABD Literature Stage, which will celebrate poetry and storytelling with renowned voices such as Waseem Barelvi, Badal Sharma, Himanshu Bajpai, Dr Pragya Sharma, Deveshi Sahgal, Justh, The Aahvaan Project and Chandulal Kalburgi.
