Lucknow: In a significant step towards strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the cantonment area, a digital X-ray machine and a modern dental chair—provided through Kotak Mahindra Bank’s CSR fund—were inaugurated at the Cantonment Board Hospital in Lucknow.
The inauguration was carried out jointly by Brigadier Jaswinder Kaur Bhatia, Commandant, Base Hospital Lucknow Cantt, and Brigadier Soumit Patnaik, President, Cantonment Board Lucknow. Both officials lauded the initiative and termed it a transformative move for healthcare delivery in the region.
The event was efficiently organised under the supervision of Chief Executive Officer of Lucknow Cantonment Board Abhishek Rathore, whose efforts received appreciation from the dignitaries. They noted that the installation of advanced diagnostic and dental facilities will greatly benefit residents and significantly improve the hospital’s service quality.
Senior officials present on the occasion included Deputy CEO R.P. Singh, Cantonment Board Nominated Member Pramod Sharma, and medical officers of the Cantonment Board General Hospital, including RMO (Sub-Charge) Dr. S.C. Joshi, Lady RMO Dr. Megha Gupta, along with other hospital doctors.
Representatives of Kotak Mahindra Bank—Regional Head Ankur Khare, Neelam, and Vishal Kumar—also participated in the ceremony. They expressed satisfaction that the bank’s CSR contribution would support the wellbeing of the local community.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, all guests highlighted the importance of the upgraded medical equipment and commended the Cantonment Board’s continuous efforts to enhance public health services.
